Binnenbrand, Kruisweg, Haarlem.
HAARLEM - Zondagmiddag 13 april, rond de klok van half zes is er brand uitgebroken in een bovenwoning in het centrum van Haarlem aan de Kruisweg 53. De TS743, TS745, AL752 en de OVD 596 werden gealarmeerd. Zeer snel is er opgeschaald tot 'zeer grote brand - GRIP 2'. Hierop werd op de Zijlweg het OT en BT opgestart.
De volgende voertuigen werden naar het brandadres gestuurd: TS741, HA583-COH590, AL753, WW760, WW761, TS648, TS749, HA783-ADM575, VC591, PM783. Ook de HOVD, CvD en ROGS kwamen ter plaatse. Nadat de watervoorziening in orde was gemaakt, werd de brand bestreden met verschillende stralen.
Aanwezigen in de woningen konden op tijd het brandende pand verlaten en zijn gecontroleerd door de ambulancedienst. Circa 15 tot 20 woningen aan de Parklaan zijn vrijwillig ontruimd. Vier personen zijn opgevangen op het politiebureau aan de Koudenhorn. Vanwege instabiliteit van de constructie werd een deel van de voorkant van het aangetaste pand afgesloten.
Rond 20.30 uur was de brand onder controle, er zijn geen slachtoffers gevallen. Gedurende de avond en een deel van de nacht is de brandweer bezig geweest met nablus werkzaamheden. De zolder- en bovenverdieping van het pand (huisnummer 53) zijn hierbij gesloopt. De belendende percelen huisnr. 55 en 51 hebben rook- en/of branddoorslag. Rond vier uur in de nacht is het pand overgedragen aan de politie. De oorzaak van de brand is nog onbekend.
